The Decorated Boat Parade
Slide show of Opening Day Party at PYC
|
Highlights from 2009.
With tides peaking at 8 AM, the event took place late in the day for PYC boats, and three of them ran aground trying to beat the tide back to Docktown. Don e. Harvey quickly freed his boat, and Lilley Yee's boat was freed with help from other boats, and towed to deeper water. The Kizmet won it's second award of the day as the recipient of the Skunk Flag when it irreversibly ran aground in the mud near it's berth at Dock A where it sat until the tide came back later in the evening during the dinner party.
